Cast it Off

Romans 13:11-12 “And that knowing the time, that now it is high time to wake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand, let us therefore cast away the WORKS OF DARKNESS and let us put on the ARMOR OF LIGHT” (KJV).

When I look at God’s concept of judgment, I discover he has our interest at heart, there is always a back-up plan to what he does.
For example in Genesis he wanted to destroy the people in the days of Noah but he first sent him to preach repentance to them, followed by him building an ark.
John explains better telling us that He (God) so much love the world to the extent of giving out his only begotten son as a sacrifice to buy back redemption to humanity….but where it triggers me most is the end of John 3:16, he said “that whosoever that believeth in him will not PERISH, oh there is a perishing coming but having Jesus can divert it from reaching us.

The opening Scripture of this post is giving us the same clue, warning us of the coming judgment and admonishing us to cast off the works of darkness (Satan). My discovery is that God knows a lot of his children are practising the works of darkness and at same time is telling them of his coming judgment and the need to have a change of heart back to him. Em…man cannot do this, he’ll prefer to be quiet just to see you fall victim of something bad.
Now back to you dear reader, is there anything in your custody that belongs to darkness (Satan)?. Jesus is saying “CAST IT OFF”, I’m sure you know what it means to cast away something! Now its your turn and time to do so. Happy weekend.
