“Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (Matthew 10:37 NIV)
You have many choices each day. One of your choices is to fully dedicate your life to a great mission rather than hoping a great mission will draft you into something you like to do. We too often procrastinate and think perhaps fate or God will deliver to us some kind of consuming mission to which we can dedicate our life. However, no matter how we come upon our goal or mission in life, unless we are willing to dedicate our life to the pursuit of what God wants us to do and to be, the consuming mission for our life makes little difference. Our mission in life can be important, perhaps even critical. However, your level of dedication toward your mission determines your success or failure. Without dedication, you are little more than a robot going through programmed motions. With dedication, with a fire in your heart to never relent in achieving your objective, God enables you to make many things possible.
